10x binoculars

Posted By Esa Jarvi

I use a 10x Monarch routinely, and have gotten used to it. At some point I got a 10x40 Zeiss Conquest. The optics are pretty good, but it has gotten little use. They are heavy and also the eye cups are not that comfortable.

I am thinking of selling or trading it and getting a Pentax 10x42..I think SP..or a Vortex Viper 10x42.

Thoughts?

I use a Bushnell Legend 8x32 if I do not use 10x, and am quite happy. No plans to get a 8x42.

The problem is really too many choices. I would happily bird with the Zeiss if it was the only thing I had.

Classifieds and offers

Posted By Esa Jarvi

I am surprised by the few responses I got for my ads. But in general, in places other than eBay, I would recommend people to make a firm offer. I either accept it or turn it down. If I accept your offer and give you the address to send the payment, you then RESPOND. If there is no response, I am left wondering if some check will appear in the mail some day.

10x binoculars

The Zeiss are now gone. I traded them for the Pentax 10x43 SP. Optics will be similar, but ergonomics will be more in my style. I like under 25oz weight. I use 10x in winter for sparrows, gulls, ducks. I also have a scope but at 10x the bins let me see is it worth getting the scope out.

Is it possible to end war?

Aggression was needed for survival against other species.

But we are smart and aggessive, the lethal combination.
