Focuser upgrade TOA 130

Posted By Louis Busby

I want to upgrade the 2.7" focuser on my TOA130 to a 4" focuser. Is this doable? Who is the source for the focuser? TNR? If this is doable, what is the estimated cost for the upgrade? Can I do it myself and retain collimation?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Links?

Posted By Louis Busby

I can't really discern from the TOS, but is it okay to post links to other retailers that might have something someone is looking for? This is for the Forums area only and not for Astromart ads.

TAK TOA130 & Denkmier Binoviewer Combo?

Posted By Louis Busby

I can't get the TAK/Denk combo to focus. Not enough in- focus. I'm using a WO 2" diagonal. What adapter do I need to get to focus?

Chinga Meteorite
Chinga (Iron, ungrouped, ataxite Ni-Rich), 151.2 grams This is a full slice of polished Chinga meteorite. Chinga was first found in Russia in 1913, Chinga is an Ataxite. It does not show a widmenstaten pattern when etched. The face is polished to a mirrior finish.

Slices are Cooler

Posted By Louis Busby

As cool as whole meteorites are, I really like the interesting qualities of sliced and etched specimens. Here are three I've recently acquired for my collection.

1) 242.8 gram etched slice of the Brenham Meteorite.
2) 314 gram etched Muonionalusta fine octahedrite from the 1906 fall in Sweden.
3) 350 gram Seymchan pallasite slice.
