Johannes,

Nice M45, I see you got the 17.9 mag galaxy. Excellent color, nebulosity and nice round stars.

Thanks for sharing!

M45 with Canon 10D/FSQ-106

James,

Thanks,

The FSQ was piggybacked on a pier mounted 12"LX200, no auto guider was used.

Alan,

This is a very nice image of Jupiter and Io, Excellent detail. I don’t think the dew harmed anything.

M27 with the 10D and 16

Greg,

Nice shot! you did a great job of processing this image. You recorded some of the very faint halo. Well have to see if we can add some red to the image using the 300D the next clear moonless night.

Nice image! Yes still nothings better than a cooled CCD, but someone has to push the limits of the DSLR.

Is the Canon 10D CMOS active during image transfer

Posted By Mark Hanson

Brian,

I normally set it for 30 sec delay between images. You don't have to worry about the images completely downloading as it will catch up when the series of images is done.
As for temp problems, unless its say above 65 deg, I wouldn't worry about this. If its warmer a 60 sec or so delay should be good, as well as a fan blowing on the camera.
