Rosette Nebula

Posted By Mark Hanson

Here is a picture of the Rosette Nebula I took on Monday morning. The transparency was very good; there was some light pollution due to its elevation in the early morning sky.

It consists of 20-210sec images at ISO1600 using a Canon 10D and a Tak FSQ106 at F5. All images were calibrated, aligned and combine using Images Plus.

Arizona and Kitt Peak trip

Posted By Mark Hanson

Well just got back from southern Arizona and did a lot of sight seeing and spent a few nights on Kitt Peak. Unfortunately I was unable to use the Canon 10D on the 20” RC as the FSQ-106 was to hard to balance on it and needed it to guide with. Did get a chance to get one image using the 10XME. I posted some pics from the vacation on my website if your interested.
