NGC 7000 Region

Here is an image I took on Saturday night from our observatory in Cross Plains WI. We have had 3 great nights in a row! Clear Sky Clock was very dark.

Its of the NGC 7000 area using a FSQ-106 and STL-11000.

HA/RGB 140/40/30/30 HA were 20min subs at 1x1 and RGB 5min subs at 2x2.

50% Version

M51

Nice shot! Can't wait to see the color version too. Do you know what the magnitude of the little sliver galaxy to the bottom left is? How can i figure this out I have the sky but it only goes down to about mag 15. Is there a program that I can overlay a picture to find out?

Here is a color pic I took on April 1st with a 12" lx200 and a Cannon 10D.

M51 color

Ron,

Excellent image of M51 with lots of detail. I especially like the nice detail in the dust lane connecting the 2 and the last visible dust lane on the outer rim, very nice.

I imaged M51 with a Canon 10D at the beginning of the month through a 12” LX200 I was happy with the way it turned out for that set up.

Very nice shot! and only 1-15min image thats fantastic. Did you use a focal reducer on the C14 for this shot?

Great image! What is that square formation? maybe someone will know. It feels like forever when the weather is not cooprative for so long, I hope it stays clear for you so you can get out and do some of your great work.
