Rich nor I said anything even remotely implying you cannot be indicted for a crime and you know it. Trump may well be guilty of something (most people are given the sheer volume of laws on the books) however the glaringly obvious political motivation on display with this whole thing is mind blowing.....

I'll be more surprised than you for purely political reasons. If this turns out like you think it will, and nothing significant sticks after a due and proper examination of the charges, Trump will be strengthened. At the end of the day, if this does turn out to be just a political witch hunt, then Trump's enemies have made it far more likely that he is elected president in '24. Are they that stupid or that strategically tone deaf? Could be, but I doubt it. I think Bragg knows the political risk and would not have obtained the indictment unless he thought he could get a major conviction and put Trump in jail. The downside risk is too great.
Time will tell of course.
