Election

Posted By Doug Matulis

Well lets start a new thread to talk about a theological concept that the Bible address pretty extensively. It will give us a chance to test our new civility on the forum.

Topic: Election

Discussion: I believe the bible teaches that God is sovergn in all affairs of man. Examples... God raises up nations and allows them to fail according to His purposes in the working out of His will and plan for mankind. Likewise, God raises up leaders and brings them down. God allows what is perceived to be bad circumstances in ones life to either test their faith and perserverence or to get their attention. And, God chooses those whom He will save and those whom he will not. Apart from God's grace and the working of the Holy Spirit, man cannot and will not choose God, rather, by the power of the Holy Spirit working in one's heart, God draws those He chooses to Himself, saves them, and sanctifies them, and brings them to glory in Christ. This is modeled in scripture repeatedly in the OT and discussed extensivily by Jesus in the Gospels and Paul in his epistles. Care to discuss...?

Anybody can vote!

Posted By Doug Matulis

Looks like another election where anyone can vote and can vote more than once. All you need is a name, easily obtainable from local newpaper obituary columns. I believe we are the only nation that holds free elections that does not require identification. Why not, open borders, open polls, open wellfare.

Libs plans coming to reality

Posted By Doug Matulis

What started with Clinton giving national secrets to China and followed on by Obama apologising to the world for American success and leadership as well as out right stating that America should not be a superpower, is now becoming reality. We are losing out place in the world and falling into third world status in all areas of our country, education, economics, politics (i.e. banana republic courts and unprotected elections), moral. http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/11/01/losing-scitech-race-china-experts-fear/

These can't be accidents! I am a software engineer and I know something as basic as r votes registering as d votes and vice versa can't be missed in testing. Wonder how long this election will last. No wonder Obama and 3,000 of his friends went to party in India for 10 days at the tune of 200,000,000 per day!

Big Victory

Posted By Doug Matulis

Everyone must be out celebrating the big republican victory! WooHooo! Cuz it is awlfully quiet on the politics forum today.
Some victory today, not only in the house, but govenorships and state legislatures all shifted in the right yesterday. (pun intended). There is still hope for America. Wish the senate could have been taken as well by the majority is much weaker now. Message to the libs was sent, America does not like your socialist agenda nor the bankrupt nanny state you libs are trying to build. Step aside!

1. If Islam is about peace, love, and tolerance...

... then why is the future of Christianity in Iraq in grave doubt amid growing violence against members of the faith as U.S. influence in the Muslim nation declines.

I know the answer, but I'll let refet have first dibs...!
