IDAS LPS filter

Posted By John Krawczyk

I did this awhile back with my Nikon D70 and SV102 in a effort to make a custom WB setting for the filter use. I'm still experimenting. Problem is the color shifts change with the exposure time. The longer the exposure, the more the Blue channel moves to the right of Red and Green in the Histogram.

Very nice job Ivan!

Are you writing to the CF card? Im guessing that if your using the view finder to focus that your not hooked up to a laptop. If you are using a laptop and Nikon Capture control, try a hartman mask.

also...

What size T-adaptor are you using? The vignetting in your image suggests an 1.25" nosepiece. A 2" one will significantly reduce that.

Congrats on your first light!

Great first light. I've been waiting to see ST402 images. What scope was used?

Excellent shot Ralph!

I see your 10D and IDAS LPS gives the same hard to process out color cast i get with my Nikon 70. I dont get that color cast when i do RGB with the b/w camera. One day im gonna nail down the correct WB for that filter.
