The 80 mm apos we offer in the special for that made William Optics Megrez Super Apo tubes with finefocuse, set of tuberings and alu case and in the APM dual CNC tubes with 2" Starlight focuser, clam shell and alu case. On request we can make and offer Matthias Wirt tube versions

LOMO ship us in 2 weeks about several LOMO triplet OK-4 Super Apo's 102 mm f/650 mm and 102 mm f/800 mm. This LOMO Apos cost $ 150 less then equal LZOS and we offer them in the same tube versions which are LW-tube with 2" Starlight focuser , LW-Photo tube with new 2.5" Starlight focuser and CNC-LW II Tube with 3.5" Starlight focusers

a brand new modell we neve rhave had before we get now after almost 4 years developing , its the Triplet OK-4 Super Apo 95 mm f/650 mm. This modell we offer in LW-tube with 2" Starlight focuser , LW-Photo tube with new 2.5" Starlight focuser and CNC-LW II Tube with 3.5" Starlight focusers

the new 95 mm Version is only $ 150 cheaper then the 102 mm LOMO and $ 300 less expensive then 105 mm LZOS

Right now we have a giant stock also of LZOS Apo Lenses 100/800, 115 mm F/7, 105 mm F/6.2, 130 mm F/9.2, 152 mm F/8, 175 mm F/8, 180 mm F/7

China can do for APM long focuse doublet Apos

Posted By Markus Ludes

to continue the Apo discussion where the question came up, can a visuel doublet Apo for lower price be made , I contact a chinese maker whom I trust and got in reply, yes we can do it up to 7" with FPL 51.

Due low quantity and higher shipping cost they would be a little more expensive then other chinese apos

If we give them our Zemax design they would quote it.

So how many people want a F/10 or better F/12 doublet visuel apo for low price in the 5" , 6" and 7" range ?

comments are welcome

thanks
Markus

3 new Apos from APM in 2010

Posted By Markus Ludes

a small announcement to make you guys a bit nervous for 2010 :-)

we plan 3 new apo refractors for 2010

1, inexpensive 6"F/8 Doublet ED as replacement for Skywatcher, celestron, Meade 6"F/8 achromat lenses

2, new 4 element , double ED , 150 mm f/1000 ( F/6.67 )superapo that is fully diffraction limited from h line to r line (near infrared) and have a huge corrected flat field (60 mm)

3, new 4 element , double ED , 140 mm f/700 ( F/5 ) SuperEDapo that have a huge corrected flat field

All Optics will be made by LZOS in Russia . All Tubes for the 4 element apos will be designed with best focuse compensation and build in germany. We working with the lens designer, LZOS and tube designer hand in hand to prevent problems other companys having for alignment and focuse compensation.

So far we have the optical layouts. Next step is to get glas prices , then tube design with tube prices. Then we will go in production.

We will do changes and optimisations for each melting run to get out the maximum performance.

We will present a full documentation of the work which gets done .

Dont hurry , it will take time . We will make samples and do intensive imaging testings under diffrent conditions and temperatures.

We will enter the product to the market , when its perfect in all respects , not before.

We promisse the best Apo Astrograph on the market, or it will not be sold.

Give us the tiime, we keep you about each step informed.

thanks for your interest

140/5 and 150/6.7 is coming

Posted By Markus Ludes

Hi Guys,

before I leave on friday to Hawaii with my wife to celebrate our 12 year honeymoon , I give you some food for discussion .

The trip to LZOS was mostly successfull.

While the 6"F/8 price from LZOS is way to high for quantity sales , the others are ok

we going in 2010 in production with 2 or more ndew Photo-visuell Apo's designed by italian scilled optical designer Massimo Ricardi

the system will have close to Super Apo correction, is a 4 element design, similar to FSQ . We will start with 140 mm F/5 and 150 m F/6.7 modells. The tubes will be build by LZOS with our design, otherwise LZOS cannot guarantee perfect spacing and alignment , and we build the rest of the tubes.
The design including big corrected flat field for large modern CCD , but also such perfect visuel correction, that it will work fantastic as a high power visuel apo.

Massimo will prepair now the final design with LZOS and then we enter it in december to our webside

Massimo states this design can be made up to 12" diameter and believe me we will do it :-)

Back to the 150 doublet. I did not fully gave up, I have a new idea regards manufacturing , but waiting more prices from LZOS

clear skies to you all

Markus
