Lunar Eclipse

Posted By Matthew Maness

Hey guys/gals,
I got back some more pictures of the lunar eclipse, from a better developer, and received a great image. Cropped and adjusted curves in adobe.
Thanks

Power Supply

Posted By Matthew Maness

I got a Starfinder mount, and found that it only takes 6 AA
batteries, but im thinking that 6 brand new batteries wouldnt last
very long in powering the mount. Can anyone tell me how long the
power would last with 6aa batteries? I also have a battery pack from
my LXD55 mount witch takes 4 D batteries, and i was wondering would
that over power the mount and fry it? Any info would help.

Thanks
Matt

Whoa! "Mega-Flare"!

Posted By Matthew Maness

The sunspot 486 launched off another flare, that measured X17.4, but could be larger. Say this one couldbe "Historic", possibly the largest one ever recorded, just to bad it wasnt pointed at earth anymore.

Orion Electronic Imaging Eyepieces

Posted By Matthew Maness

I was wondernig if anyone has actually bought one of these? If so, how well do they work? Im interested because im the only one i know personally that enjoys this hobby, and i figure if i can show my familly , some planets and the moon on a TV screen instead on in a tiny eyepiece with one eye they may show a little more interest. I just want to know how the quality is or if its totally not worth the money.

Thanks

Help with processing (m27)

Posted By Matthew Maness

I just got some pictures back from developement, and i scanned them onto my computer. The scan is alot worse than the image actually is on the film. I was wondering if anyone would like to take a stab at making things "pop" a little more.
