Are your referring to the clutches that allow the mount to move freely by hand or the little clutches that allow your to turn the worm gear? Also, what is the nature of the problem, looseness, stiction? I have a "grab bag" of CI-700 tweaks, let me know what problem your having.

I have seen this as well. I think you might be dropping frames from the camera and the software is "filling in" the missing frames with the previous copy to make the .avi smooth. Try experimenting with other Codecs. Another possibility is a bandwidth limitation with your computer. Try closing all other apps and/or running on a faster desktop machine to verify.
