I think the Handbook of Astronomical Image processing by Berry and Burnell is a much better reference.

What are some options for powering a Canon DSLR from 12V dc? The batteries don't last long at 40 deg. F and the Hutech adapter is poorly made and unreliable. Any body else making them?

Nice sunspot too. I could see this with a naked eye as the sun dipped into the clouds. AT66 with Baader film. Canon 40D.

Anybody use one of those for find/focus? They are as cheap as $30 at Circuit city etc. They can powered from 12v and have a video input.

FWIW, I am currently using the lcd on my camcorder and it doesn't work well on stellar objects

How (and why) did you combine a 2.5x powermate and a 25mm plossl for this projection? I would have thought the magnification would be way higher than the photo suggests. Or are you capturing afocally?
