Re: Takahashi 150FCT -- The best?!?!

It does not say anywhere in the add that this scope took the photo. I think he is just making a point that it is Mars time. Or he is trying to trick us.

Re: GM8 vs. AP400 NON-GOTO help deciding between

If it was me, I would use them both until I knew for sure which one I liked the best. Don't be in any hurry to sell one or the other, time will tell.

If it was me I would sell those two and get a Tele-Vue or AP diagonal.

Siliconed Mirror

Posted By John Kuhl

I would like to know how you would get the silicone off the mirror once it is out of the cell? Say you want to mount the mirror the normal way, what do you do?

The 26 Nagler T5 is great, but the 27 Panoptic is very good and a deal.

FS 102 dew shield

Posted By John Kuhl

Vince, you don't have to remove the dew shield to use the Coronado H Alpha setup. My SolarMax 60 adaptor plate is attached to the dew shield. I will have it setup for the BBQ, so you can use it all you want. It is a very nice system for the FS 102.

Whats best 31mm Nag or 41mm Pano?

Posted By John Kuhl

A big Dob, 31 Nagler, 0III filter, and the Veil. It just doesn't get any better.

Modify an AP 6" Superplanetary?

Posted By John Kuhl

You could drill and tap another hole on the other side, and have two set screws. Once you cut the tube there is no going back.
