Just purchased a 105 CNC classic and have ordered a losmandy 7" universal plate to mount the rings. Does anyone know if the classic rings bolt up to the plate (two screws/not center only) or do I need the adapter blocks.

Steve,
If your scope is like mine which is the classic CNC 115 then only the center hole on the Losmandy plates will line up. On the DUPS it is the center hole on the DUP it is the center slide hole. My understanding is that the classic rings were made to line up with the Astro-Physics plates. I use the Losmandy DUP and although only the two center holes line up that has been adequate for my needs. I do admit that it would be nice however to have more attachment than this.To be precise in terms of your question the answer is no neither hole on either side of center on the Losmandy plates will line up with the classic CNC rings. Hope this is helpful.

Dan
