Comet 168P Hergenrother

Here is a nice classical comet situated well for imaging in Pegasus. It's moving quite rapidly right now, allowing only about 60 sec exposure before the comet drifts appreciably.

Shot last night with 7" F9 refractor unguided on 1600 mount, SBIG ST11K camera. Total exposure approximately 30 minutes at 1 minute intervals, medium combined.

Very late on this one .... nice work, Rolando, with lots of structure visible within the core and environs!

Thanks guys. This was a very small guy, sorta lost in the field. Very fast moving which did not allow much time to capture the extent of the outer tail.
