A difficult faint galaxy near the bright star Beta Andromedae. Lots of little galaxies in this area. The full field shows about 75 faint galaxies scattered thoughout.

Total exposure 30 minutes LRGB, 305F3.8 astrograph, QSI 583 camera, Baader LRGB filters. There were lots of filter reflections that had to be dealt with unfortunately, but I did want to show the stars and galaxies near the star, which were quite evident in the L image. I would love to see someone develop better sharp cutoff filters in the future. Unfortunately the camera cover glass has only a single layer coating and causes most of the large halos by interaction with the filters.

Great picture - here's an interesting coincidence. We had small star party last night at a very dark sky location and the Ghost of Mirach was one of our challenge objects. We found it and clearly saw it with an AP155 F9. Awesome !!
