Polar Alignment with a C8/wedge??

My last system was a refractor on a EQ mount.. to align the tri-pod/EQ mount there was a small scope built right
in the EQ head. After I sighted in on the North Star with that, I was good for tracking objects with the RA drive. Question is; Now with my new Scope on it's way from the East Coast how does one align the tripod wedge so the tracking will be right on? Thanks John M

thanks again Hugh, I will know better after my C8 arrives, just hope it survives re-entry from NY. Will look into the Polar Scope, how would it differ from lets say a 9x50 standard finder? JM
