Flattener/Reducer Question

Is there any optical penalty for using a Televue TV-RFL-4087 0.8x Flattener/Reducer (meant for 800mm - 1000mm 'scopes) with other focal length scopes such as the f/6 SV-80ST (490mm f.l.) or the f/10 Meade 12' LX200GPS (3048mm f.l.)? I have the appropriate TV-RAD-1074 nosepiece and TV-CWT-2070 Wide T-Adaptor with bayonet mount. I have a Canon EOS 20Da camera.
