Hi, I just obtained a Starbeam finder. I would like to install it with a quick-release bracket of some sort. Does TeleVue make these? They have one for the SolSearcher. Thanks.

I don't think so...but let us know if there is one. It is a pain to change that thing to a different mount.

I don't know this for sure Aaron but from disassembing my Starbeam and looking at other parts, I think you need Quick Release Bracket (QRB-1002). You then need the Dovetail QRD-1006). Now I speculate that the base (ie. the holding bracket) of the Starbeam can be screwed into the Dovetail and then the Quick-release finally mounted on the clamshell.

Best gives Tele Vue a call ;-).
