I have recently been offered a great deal for a TV101. I'm currently using a Pronto on a SkyView Pro mount, which is more than enough mount for that little scope.

Is anybody here using the TV101 on a SkyView Pro mount? Do you find it to be adequate? Which adapters will I need to mount the TV 101 to it? Thanks.

Hello there Tom,

Although much bigger than the Pronto ;-), you'll like the much larger aperture and very wide flat field of the TV-101.

I hope Jim Phelps will chime in. He used to have this mount which he mounted his TV-101 on.

You may wish to send him a message since his an AM user.

I think the mount would be more than adequate for the task.

I have owned the SVP and used it with a TV85. It will do you a fine job. I think it is more solid than my Vixen GP that I currently use with my ED103. TeleVue makes a dovetail adapter plate that fits the TV tube ring and will work with the SVP or Vixen type mounts...wish I was getting a 101 : (

Tom,

I have used the TV102 and NP101 on a SVP and it worked well with those scopes. In my estimation it is a really good match, not overkill but sufficiant support...just right.
