Leitz 7x50 vs Zeiss--- 60's era

having used both, the leitz seemed to have the edge in sharpness, by a bit.
how do they compare today??

Were the Zeiss bino's from Carl Zeiss Jena or the oberkochen Zeiss west models??

I own the West 7X50 b's from 1970's approx. And my twin has Jena Jenoptem 7X50's from 1980's.

The Zeiss West have better eye relief and consequently wide filed views , the Jena binoc's resolve a little better and have more modern coatings and a better rendition of contrast.

I prefer the older West because of the feel and mechanical precision.
