Photo taken on the Savannah River near Augusta, GA. This is an interesting geographical feature where there is a fall line in the river of approx. 51/2ft. The Piedmont Plateau meets the Upper Coastal Plain. There is a canal dug along the river from the 1850-1875 era which provided a route for water transportation to continue around the fall and rocks below.
