I am the original owner of this six-piece set of Carl Zeiss Abbe Orthoscopic eyepieces. I purchased this set in April 1997 from Astro-Physics.
The auction includes the six eyepieces, original caps for all eyepieces and the original walnut presentation case. The set includes the 4mm, 6mm, 10mm, 16mm, 25mm and the 34mm eyepieces. Also includes the original paperwork (design, care, etc.).
The optics are perfect having only been occasionally dusted with a Staticmaster camel hair brush reserved for such use. They have never been cleaned with a liquid.
All eyepieces are free of scratches or dents anywhere except for some tiny retaining screw marks on the 16mm (see photograph). The walnut case is missing one of the glue-on felt pads.
I do not have, or cannot find, the cardboard box that held the walnut case, or the plastic bags for each of the eyepieces. Probably not too useful for observing anyway.
