I have a set of prints of the Photographic Lunar Atlas made in the early 1960's at the University of Arizona by Dai Arthur, Ewen Whitaker and Gerard Kuiper.
In 1959, the US Air Force had commissioned Gerard Kuiper to make a complete map of the moon. He mainly used images taken at Mt. Wilson, although some were from Yerkes and others from Pic Du Midi. This atlas, and its supplements, would become the cornerstone of groundbased lunar imaging. (I had the honor of studying under Gerard Kuiper and Ewen Whitaker as a grad studen at the Lunar & Planetary Labs)
In this set are 66 photographic lithographed sheets; each image is big.
Most sheets are 108cm x 84cm and have 4 images, each image is about 50x40cm.
Some sheets are 54cm x 84cm and have 2 images, each image about 50x40cm
A few sheets are 54cm x 42cm and have one image.
All sheets are in excellent condition, however, a couple have dog-eared corners outside of the image area. I believe these 66 sheets form a complete set, however I can't guarantee it. If you know otherwise, please let me know!
These are unbound sheets, there's no binder of box.
