My dark sky observing time has been reduced to 2x per year so I'm reducing equipment. This is a set I have enjoyed immensely over the years. Last week I was out in SE Arizona under Bortle 2 skies with friends and we compared these to many other eyepieces and most were surprised how well these compare to modern designs.
If you purchase the set I'll discount the price to $400 vs $465 if purchased individually. Views through these are great, especially the 14mm. Here's the details:
- I am the second owner on all eyepieces that I purchased on Astromart.
- All eyepieces have top and bottom caps and original Meade bolt cases. 14mm has Meade box.
- All glass and coatings are in very good to excellent condition: no mold, fungus, etc.
- All are 84 (claimed) degree apparent field, 8 element and were manufactured in Japan.
- The 4.7, 6.7 and 8.8mm are parafocal, the 14mm is not.
- If you purchase the set I will pay shipping and insurance to CONUS, otherwise buyer pays shipping.
14mm - No dings on body or 2" barrel, slight marks on 1.25" barrel from use.
8.8mm - No dings on body, slight ding on 2" barrel, slight marks on 1.25" barrel from use.
6.7mm - No sings on body, slight set screw marks on 1.25" barrel
4.7mm - No signs on body, one very slight mark on 1.25" barrel
14mm - $175
8.8mm - $125
6.7mm - $85
4.7mm - $80
Thanks for looking.
