I have an extended set of Plossls and need to pare it down, so the Meades plus a Japanese Baush & Lomb are on the block. This would represent a good working set for planetary/double star observing and all come with clear glass that offer crisp views. There is minimal cosmetic deficiencies on some, with the B&L exhibiting a small nick on the chrome barrel and black housing , the 9.7 Meade has the "9" printed incomplete and the 6.4mm Meade shows a small mark on the bottom of the chrome barrel, these I have highlighted in the photos. This is not a collector's set, but a highly competent working set. All glass is in excellent condition as are the folding eyecups on the Meades and all have chrome barrels without flaw in shape or threading. This set has 5 members as follows:
Meade LP Super Plossl 26mm
Baush & Lomb 17mm Plossl
Meade Super Plossl 12.4mm
Meade Super Plossl 9.7mm
Meade Super Plossl 6.4mm
All are 4 element Plossls with dull gold lettering and all are made in Japan, with the Meade units having the Japan mark stamped on the chrome barrel and the B&L listing Japan on the printed lettering on the black barrel.
