Selling my DayStar Quark Chromosphere H-alpha solar filter with the DayStar spherical-aberration-corrected imaging focal reducer.
This is an imaging-oriented setup for H-alpha solar work. The Quark Chromosphere is well suited for capturing surface detail, active regions, filaments, plage, and prominences when paired with an appropriate refractor, camera, and safe solar configuration. The included DayStar focal reducer is the corrected imaging reducer, not a generic reducer, and is intended to help bring the Quarkâs long effective focal ratio back down for camera use. It slides into the included 2" drawtube and has a 20mm T-mount threading on the back. With the camera directly connected to the back the focal reduction is 0.5x. Add a 20mm extension to achieve 0.33x.
Also including a solar finder scope which is extremely handy for alignment.
It has been stored carefully. I am selling because I have not been doing enough solar imaging to justify keeping it.
