Takahashi Centering Tube (CT), part TKA00442 — unused, still in the factory box with the original instruction sheet.
This is the official collimation tube for Takahashi Epsilon hyperbolic Newtonians (Epsilon-130D, 160ED, 180ED, and earlier Epsilon models). It is used to center the secondary against the center mark on the mirror. A wire crosshair is stretched across the end of the tube and lined up with that mark. M36.4 × 1 male thread; it screws onto the eyepiece-holder adapter ring on the Epsilon focuser.
Specs: about 80 mm long, 39.5 mm diameter, 50 g.
Included:
• Centering tube, still sealed in the original wrap
• Original Takahashi box labeled CT
• Factory instruction sheet (Japanese): optical-axis correction for the Epsilon using the centering tube. The sheet uses the ε-160 as the example; the method is the same for the other Epsilons.
Not included: the Centering Eyepiece (CE / TKA00441). Takahashi pairs the two for a full collimation. The tube alone is the secondary-centering half of that kit.
Condition: new, never installed. Box has normal shelf wear. Made for Takahashi Epsilon optics only — not a general Newtonian collimation tool.
