Seletek Tarsier Focusing System

The Seletek Tarsier focusing system from Lunatico Astronomia consists of a motor that attaches to the existing focuser on your scope, a hand controller for running it, and a temperature sensor for providing temperature data to the controller. The Tarsier system works with a wide variety of focusers-- you can go to the Lunatico Astronomia website to see if yours is supported (I can provide the link). Every Seletek family motor, coupling and focusing accesories will work with the Tarsier, and it will also drive stepper motors from almost any manufacturer (Robofocus, Lakeside, FeatherTouch, Moonlite...) and d.c. motor (Orion, Rigel systems...).

Included is the motor, a small cylinder used to attach the motor in place of one of the knobs on the focuser, the controller, cable for attaching the motor to the controller, temperature sensor (incorporated into the control cable), and 12V DC power supply. The User's Manual can be downloaded from the Lunatico Astronomia website (I can provide the link).

I had installed the Tarsier on the Crayford focuser of an Orion EON 120mm refractor-- for this type of focuser, the Tarsier motor drive directly replaces one of the knobs on the dual-speed focuser without the need for the small mounting plate that is provided for some focusers. If you need the mounting plate for your focuser, it can be purchased separately from the Lunatico Astronomia website (I can provide the link).
