Astrozap caries both flexible and aluminum shields for the new Meade Schmidt-Newtonians.
Astrozap flexible shields have the following features:
Made from durable ABS plastic and coated with a star field finish that will dress all sct-newts for the occasion.
Black felt lined interior to help absorb moisture and prevent stray light from reaching the optics. Increasing contrast!
Sewn Velcro strips. Two-inch foam friction strip to keep the shield in place on the OTA.
Astrozap aluminum shields have the following features:
Made from 20Ga. Welded aluminum and painted with our two coat powder coating system.
Black felt lined interior to help absorb moisture and prevent stray light from reaching the optics. Increasing contrast!
Heavy duty threaded inserts with nylon screws for a secure attachment onto the OTA rim.
Die cut packaging to assure safe transit!
