I have a beautiful 2080 Meade 8"f/10 SCT that has a corrector that I have extreme difficulty in cleaning. The scope was bought from a Florida source and I suspect mold eventually formed then broke down on the surface. It is also possible salts from the ocean or Gulf infiltrated the corrector.
