“1. Lens condition - The lens is in a very sad condition. According to the owner, the Pronto was bought on impulse more than 3 years ago, used only a few times, and just left in a corner ever since. There's fungus growing on the inside of the objective, and in between as well. It looks pretty bad. Seems like the whole lens is covered by those stuff. If someone is willing to buy it and put it to good use, you could try sending it back to TeleVue to see if they can do anything about it, or maybe it's better to ask them first if they can do anything about it before you confirm the purchase.”
95% of the time this type of damage is a result of moisture going unchecked. The objective is damp or wet and the corrector is put on and the scope is put away. This spells disaster.
