Finely crafted from CNC-machined Aluminum and Stainless-Steel components, finished in beautiful and durable powder coat paint. Designed and made in USA since 2006.

DSV-M: mini alt-az mount. Adjustable slip clutches allow smooth motions for pointing and panning of the mount, even at higher magnifications. Recommended payloads are refractors up to 80mm and SCTs up to 150mm/6”, MCTs up to 125mm/5”. Intended for use with heavy duty photo style tripods equipped with a 3/8-16 or paired with our light weight surveyor style tripod and extension column.

DSV-Mb: mini alt-az mount with geared slow-motion controls. The slip clutches allow smooth motions for pointing and panning of the mount, while the slow-motion controls enable fine positioning control and easy manual tracking at high magnifications. Recommended for refractors up to 80mm and SCTs up to 150mm/6”, MCTs up to 125mm/5”. Intended for use with heavy duty photo style tripods equipped with a 3/8-16 or paired with our light weight surveyor style tripod and extension column.

DSV-1: small alt-az mount, available in single and double clamps. The original DSV mount, simple, effective and easy to operate. Adjustable friction controls allow smooth motions for pointing and panning of the mount, even at higher magnifications. Recommended for refractors up to 102mm/4”, SCTs up to 200mm/8”, MCTs up to 150mm/6”. Recommended tripods are the LW surveyor style tripod, the HD surveyor style tripod or tripods that have a 3” diameter flat top surface and a 3/8-16 mounting bolt. Other tripods can be used with optional adapters.

Recommended tripods are the LW surveyor style tripod, the HD surveyor style tripod or tripods that have a 3” diameter flat top surface and a 3/8-16 mounting bolt. Two dual D/V style clamps are included in the price. The included QBS balancing system allows fully balancing of the altitude axis to better handle large EPs, finders and other off-axis loads. Equipped with altitude axis brake for easy EP changes, etc. Recommended for refractors up to 140mm/5.5”, SCTs up to 280mm/11”, MCTs up to 180mm/7”. Recommended tripods are the HD surveyor style tripod, or other heavy-duty tripods that have a 4” diameter flat top surface and a 3/8-16 or larger mounting bolt. Other tripods, such as EQ6-class GEM tripods can be used with optional adapters.
