I originally purchased this mount from Audie Hickey here on astromart on 4/20/08. As many do, I have since upgraded to the CGE mount and this mount has see little (no) use since. It has been stored in my house and is in perfect working condition.

I upgraded the hand controller through Celestron and the current version loaded is 4.13. The motor controller version loaded is 5.14. You can communicate with the hand controller software and mount, I have included the proper cable for connection with your computer via a USB adapter.

In November of 2007 the PE was measured using PEM-PRO (see picture). The PE is smooth and will guide out easily. I turned the mount on and verified everything is working (it is).

I have adjusted the DEC backlash settings in the mount using CCDOps to get the best setting without over compensating. DEC+ = 16, DEC- = 12. I added drafting tape and marked the starting alignment position based on the information on Mike Swanson’s web site.
