For sale is my iOptron CEM40 with built-in iPolar, Hard Case and 1.75”-legs Lite Roc tripod.
I am the original owner and have cared for it with caution and respect.

Includes
  • iOptron CEM40 mount head with built-in iPolar (iPolar software is downloaded from iOptron.com)
  • GoTo Nova 8407 Hand Controller with cable
  • iOptron Lite Roc tripod with 1.75” diameter legs
  • Eyepiece spreader tray
  • Hard Case for storing CEM40
  • GPS unit with cable
  • iOptron iStarFi wifi module with cable for controlling with computer or SkySafari (purchased separately)
  • (2) iOptron 5kg (11lb) counterweights (one purchased separately)
  • All literature included with original purchase
  • Some various accessories thrown in but not part of the sale

Condition
  • The entire system functions perfectly for me, tracking for visual observing has been excellent for both sidereal and solar system.
  • There are some rub marks on the saddle from installing and removing my 6” refractor.
  • One counterweight has some minor blemishes but came that way, I didn't bother to complain about it, just colored them in with black marker. Counterweights are kept in a Harbor Freight canvas toolbar while not in use.
  • The hand controller board was replaced shortly after taking delivery because the top of the top-line characters weren’t displaying cleanly and iOptron took care of it immediately, no issues since. See photo showing characters displayed perfectly.

Mileage
The mount has been used approximately ten times and only for visual observing, not astrophotography. Each of my observing sessions were shorter than 3 hours with the exception of one 9 hour session. There’s never been more than 25lbs of payload on the mount, it handled my 6” refractor with ease.

Why I am selling
I decided to sell because I am not using it enough to warrant keeping it stored in my astro-cabinet. I will put the funds toward an Alt-Az system that I can set up and take down faster so that my 6” refractor gets more starlight in it. There’s nothing disappointing about the form and function of the CEM40.

Price
