For sale is a lightly used and very well maintained MyT Mount and SB Tripod. Purchased brand new from Woodland Hills Camera &Telescopes in 2022. The mount and tripod have been used as a portable setup typically 1or 2 nights each month on my driveway, some months not at all. The entire assembly was always stored in my study under the cover of a dust shroud when not in use. The mount has operated flawlessly, never needed any repair. However, I have performed three "oil changes" (clean and re-lubrication) of the main and worm gears of the RA and Dec axes per the Software Bisque YouTube video protocol, the most recent completed on October 1st. The mount and Tripod both look and operate like new. Included in the sale:
• Paramount MyT Series 5 MKS 5000
• Paramount MyT Tripod w/soft travel case
• 48v DC power supply unit
• Standard counterweight shaft w/safety bolt
• 20 pound counterweight
• Versa Plate w/2-part Dec axis spacers (pair)
• Hand controller/paddle and integral cable/connector
• Mount to CPU cable
• Original flash drive w/the SkyX Pro software
• Manual
• Original Software Bisque boxes and foam packing
I am asking $4300 for all of the above. If you don't want the tripod I will sell everything else for $3800. Additionally I have a few optional items for sale:
• SW Bisque 20-pound counterweight: $250
• SW Bisque 10-pound counterweight: $200
• Pelican case for MyT mount: $150
• MyT Dec Axis spacers (pair) : $75
I am only selling this equipment as a result of lifting limitations after extensive surgery on my 71 year-old back in July. While it is not overly heavy, at 35-pounds its weight exceeds anything that I could/should reasonably and safely lift.
Conus only and PayPal preferred. For a local buyer, I will drive the equipment to you at a distance up to 150 miles from Zip Code 32082 (Jax Florida area).
