For sale is my late father's Vixen Great Polaris DX Mount. I have replaced battery and lubed with Superlube to ensure function.

Sky Sensor 2000PC Features

 1. High-speed automatic search of celestial objects - The SkySensor 2000, with DC motors, automatically slews the telescope at speeds up to 5 degrees per second to bring the selected object in the field of view.

2. External computer control - this version of the Skysensor firmware (the latest- v2.1) implements a clone of the Meade LX200 commands, which allows an ASCOM driver to be used to remotely control the mount. The serial cable to do that is included. There is a WIFI connector available from a third party.

3.The SkySensor 2000’s object database contains 13,942 objects - the Moon (100 named surface features), planets (Jovian satellites), Messiers, NGC, IC, and SAO objects.

4. The SkySensor 2000 does not require polar alignment of the equatorial mount. You can place the mount in any convenient orientation and start using the Sky Sensor.

5. In addition to GEM tracking, the Skysensor provides altazimuth tracking - you can move the telescope vertically or horizontally with a single controller key, as though you are using an altazimuth mount, by automatically controlling both R.A. and declination motors simultaneously.

6. The PEC function automatically corrects for the small periodic motion error caused by the misalignment of the worm gear. PEC is useful for long exposure astrophotography.

7. You can search and track comets and artificial satellites by entering their orbital elements from the controller.

8. Sky Tour function automatically points the telescope at objects from a selected list at set intervals (useful feature for outreach).

9. The SkySensor 2000 can be connected to an autoguider by construction of a customized cable (Appendix B of the SkySensor 2000 manual describes the pin-out).

10. The SkySensor 2000 display supports the English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese languages.

• Version 2.10 (latest) This is the version that with a serial port cable allows the use of a PC. There is an ASCOM driver. (If I understand correctly, the command set is that of the LX200.)
• Battery replaced (keeps date/time & location)
