Selling an excellent condition Vixen sphinx SXW Go-To equatorial mount. Used briefly with an 80mm APO refractor and 6" SCT.
The scope includes:
-sphinx SXW Equatorial Head
-Starbook color GoTo hand controller with latest Vixen v2.1 update w/ screen brightness reduction films and soft carry case
-Single counterweight
-12v power pack power cord
-HAL110 tripod with half pier extension
-Illuminated polar alignment scope
-Pelican 1600 case for mount head
-Vixen triangle accessory tray (brand new, just received it, not pictured)
I attached a picture of the Dumbell Nebula that I took last week with a Celestron 6" SCT mounted on the sphinx. Excellent lightweight mount for astrophotography.
The latest Vixen v2.1 update on the Starbook is excellent, it integrates autoguiding (the port is on the Starbook to attach your autoguiding camera) and PEC.
I made my own users guide to the mount, in it is the original Vixen users manual to the sphinx SXW, as well as all of their recent updates such as the guide to the polar alignment scope, comet updates to the Starbook, etc. Very handy for working with the sphinx at dark sites and not having the internet resources available.
Buyer pays shipping costs. I prefer bank checks or postal money orders. I will accept a personal check from highly rated AMarters (will ship mount when check clears). Sale is CONUS only please.
