Hi all,

I’m officially starting my mount search and am looking to buy a historically proven equatorial mount suitable for long focal length imaging with my EdgeHD 11.

Primary mounts of interest (but will entertain other options as well if it has a good track record):

  • Astro-Physics Mach1GTO (top choice)

  • Astro-Physics AP900 GOTO
  • Paramount MYT

  • iOptron CEM70

This will be used mainly for astrophotography with a Celestron EdgeHD 11. With that in mind, I would love to see any assurances that the mount has had historically good guiding in the past either via screenshots or phd2 guide log. I know it will be a tall task to get the c11 tracking well and I'd love to have a mount that has an individually proven track record to alleviate as much headache at startup as possible.

I’m open to shipping and can also do local pickup or meetup around Wilmington, NC or Charlotte, NC, and nearby areas.

While not required, I am slightly favoring complete packages that include counterweights, tripod or pier, and/or accessories, as that helps streamline the setup.

If you’re considering selling or know of something coming available, feel free to message me with details, photos, and asking price. Happy to discuss.

Also something to note, I'll probably leave this up a week or two to see all of what's out there before pulling the trigger unless it's a deal I can't pass up since this is a large purchase for me personally. That and I'd like to find a great deal to stay as close to my budget as possible (don't we all)

Clear Skies,

Kyle
