8 Foot Exploradome Deluxe with Full Automation- Digital Dome Works Controller

I purchased this Exploradome Observatory used, about 2 years ago and have been operating it remotely since, but have decided to move my gear to another location. The dome includes the full automation package with control for main shutter, lower shutter door and rotation along with the (rotation motor and sprocket), both of which were replaced about a year and a half ago. The dome controller is the Digital Dome Works Model 4 and also includes the Hand Controller.  The lower shutter door has been disabled as it was never used, since we almost never image below 30 degrees, but even with the door up, you can still shoot down to around 25 degrees. I'm sure it could be put back into operation if needed but not sure it would be worth the trouble. Otherwise the dome operates well, but could probably use a new set of roller wheels which still work, but are noisy along with some lubrication on the main shutter as it tends to slightly stick right before fully open, but does go the rest of the way up once you send another open command. Shutter always closes with no issues, so I am sure a little lubrication would resolve the shutter opening issue. I am currently controlling with The Sky X Dome Control Add-On and it works quite well and if interested I can send you a current video of the dome in operation. Purchase will also include a very nice custom built pier that is currently fitted with a Paramount MX Classic Mount but could be adapted over to other mounts as needed. Buyer would be responsible for all disassembly, pickup and transportation to a new site. Dome is located at Dark Skies New Mexico in Animas, NM. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Also, happy to hop on a phone call to discuss further so just let me know.

Thanks and Clear Skies, Brad Draper
