Model 11051 includes a DC motor drive that continuously tracks objects as they move across the sky. The motor drive comes equipped with a variable rate hand controller that controls the G-5's motion in Right Ascension. Both model telescopes use the excellent Schmidt-Cassegrain optical design to deliver razor sharp images over a wide field.
The G-5 utilizes the multicoated Starbright® coatings group. High Reflectivity (HR) coatings are used on the mirrors for maximum reflectivity and Anti-Reflection (AR) coatings are used on the correcting lens for increased light transmission.
