I've decided to sell my beautiful Intes-Micro Alter MN55, which is a 140mm F5.5 Mak-Newt that balances the needs of visual and CCD imaging use. This is the "Deluxe" model, which includes a 2" FeatherTouch focuser, built-in cooling fan and a stunning green metallic paint job. Like all MN's, this scope is extremely sharp, and despite it's fairly short focal length (770mm) can be cranked up to high powers for planetary viewing. The scope was tested at a Strehl Ratio of 97.2% and 1/8 wave by Mike Palermiti. For imaging, this scope delivers an extremely flat field, with NO coma. It's in very good condition-- the OTA had no dings or chips and the corrector plate coating has only a couple of tiny spots which I haven't tried to remove (and which look more prominent in the photo than they really are, caused by the flash). I am the second owner, and have owned it about 1 1/2 years.
Comes with heavy duty rings with bridge plates, red dot finder, soft case, camera adapter, 35mm 2" extension tube, 12v battery cable (to power the fan). Selling to fund a new project. Great opportunity to get APO performance at a budget price.
