I’m selling my 2016 Questar 3.5 Standard with a Quartz mirror, CERTIFIED AT 1/10th Wave, with Powerguide III. Optically and mechanically it’s in excellent condition. If you look hard you can see just a few specs of dust. Neither the mirror nor the meniscus have ever been touched. The Q3.5 has been kept in a smoke-free, air-conditioned environment. I am the second owner. The original owner hardly used it and, unfortunately, neither have I. That was not the plan when I bought it, but “stuff happens” as we age. So reluctantly, it’s time to sell this little gem.

It comes with everything you see in he photos except for the William Optic mount, dovetail bar, and the Weyllan LX9 carbon fiber tripod—but if you want them, we can negotiate the price. Note: there are TEN photos. With the mag views only 7 are shown.

Included with the Q3.5 and Powerguide III
Brandan 16mm and 24mm eyepieces.
Farpoint dessicant cap.
Full aperture solar filter** with a B&W protective case.
Original Leather case (in like new condition)
A custom Pelican Case with cutouts specifically made for the Q3.5 with Powerguide III
A Nikkor 95mm lens cover in addition to the machined Questar aluminum cover. It snaps on and off in a flash.

Asking $6,800 or best offer. All offers will be given due consideration, but I am in no hurry to sell. I’d prefer local pickup in the Houston, TX area, but will ship anywhere in the CONUS at the buyer’s expense.

Payment Options: Direct wire transfer via Zelle, regular wire transfer. personal or Bank checks. If paying by check, please allow time for the check to clear before I ship. PayPay is also accepted but if you choose that method, please add 3.49% to cover PayPal fees.

** Please note: I wasn’t sure if there was a tiny defect in the solar filter so out of caution, I put a small dot of black paint on the back of the filter—as shown in the photo. It does not affect the views at all.

Thanks for looking!
