Questar Duplex Model for sale - Complete, Excellent condition

Hello, fellow Questar lovers!

I am in the enviable position of having ... too many Questars 🥳🔭 so one should go to a less fortunate Questar lover!

Every aspect of this special Questar is smooth and mechanically perfect - this Duplex began as Field model (Serial # F-2456-BB) with the beautiful mystic purple tube and dew shield and no moon map.  Later on a Duplex mount was acquired separately, which runs and operates smoothly, and later a beautiful English saddle leather case. The corrector and mirror coatings and finder mirror look perfect.  In addition to the above, this comes with the close-focus aperture corrector, all legs and leg-hole caps, and Questar-threaded 16mm and 24mm Brandon EPs. 

Possibly due to the fact that the base was acquired separately, the original serial markings have been brushed off, for whatever reason.  The gorgeous case came with keys, but I have not been able to make them work in the locks - although it may be operator error, and since I have no young kids, it has never been an issue!

PayPal price of $3,450.00 reflects the optical and mechanical quality, shipping is extra (estimated shipping "weight" is 35lbs due to the necessary box size for properly double boxing and packing the scope, although the actual weight of the scope, case and accessories is the normal 14 lbs.
