Selling my NexStar 8SE setup. Purchased new from B&H Photo in late 2020 for ~$1,700 for the telescope alone. Used 4-6 times before life pulled me in other directions. Stored indoors in original boxes the entire time. Optics are pristine. Time for it to go to someone who'll actually point it at the sky.
Included:
- Celestron NexStar 8SE OTA: 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain, 2000mm focal length, f/10, StarBright XLT coatings, Fastar compatible (stock secondary cover, no HyperStar lens included)
- NexStar SE single fork arm GoTo mount
- NexStar+ hand controller (40,000+ object database)
- Steel tripod with center column and accessory tray
- Original 25mm Celestron Plossl 1.25" eyepiece
- Red-dot StarPointer finderscope
- 1.25" star diagonal and visual back
- Celestron PowerTank Lithium LT (model 18763, retails $100)
- Celestron AC power adapter
- Farpoint FP351 Flexible Dew Shield (8" SCT, retails $45)
- Solomark anti-vibration tripod pads, set of 3

Condition details:
- Optics: Corrector plate is pristine. No fungus, no haze, no scratches. Multi-coatings intact.
- Mount: Boots cleanly, slews smoothly on all axes, hand controller responds normally. Tested on PowerTank power immediately before listing. Video available on request.
- PowerTank: Holds charge, powers the scope without issue. 5-year-old lithium battery so capacity may be reduced from new.
- Cosmetic: Two small scuffs on the mount base, photographed honestly. OTA tube has no marks. Tripod legs in excellent condition.
Original purchase price was ~$1,700 from B&H in 2020. Asking $1,475 for the bundle plus actual shipping. Will pack the OTA professionally using the original double-box and foam. Local pickup in Denver welcome — $50 off for local pickup, no shipping required.
