100mm Lunt FPL-53 Triplet Lens Cell (read description)

This is a very lovely 100mm f/7.1 primary lens cell from a Lunt Universal Telescope. The lens cell by itself costs around $1300 when new.
The reason I know that replacement price is that this particular cell was left under a tarp and somehow the trapped humidity caused the rearmost lens coating to flake off. I highlighted some of the remaining coating in one of the pictures.
After the cell was replaced, I cleaned up most of the damaged coating surface to find that nearly every other optical surface looks pristine. This cell was only used a handful of times before the coating was damaged.
So what you have is an FPL-53 100mm APO lens cell with one of the optical coatings missing-- all other optical coatings are completely undamaged, and everything else about the lens is pretty much perfect. And you get mostly fine lens cell from a premium telescope that contains premium glass for less than half of its cost when new.
I originally intended to try to make my own telescope with it, but I have too many projects as it is.
It can instead be your project for less than half of what it would cost new.
