This is an 8" f/4 newtonian (used to be a skyview deluxe) OTA with rings and 6x30 finder. The primary mirror is adhered to the cell; the clamps have no tension on them. The tube was shortened to compensate for use of an OAG. The tube is also lined with black velvet--super dark inside). Focuser is a 2" JMI ngf-dx3 crayford with 2" televue extension tube for visual use. Also included are lumicon 2" newtonian OAG with 3x relay diagonal and a Lumicon 48mm Coma corrector. This setup takes f/4 images with stars as crisp pinpoints across a 35mm frame. What it needs to be completed: It could use a larger secondary to fix the vignetting introduced by the shortened tube; and somewhere in my rebuilding I picked up a pinch in the optics--either from the secondary being under tension, or from the center support I added beneath the primary. It could also use a new paint job on the outside, to cover up those pesky 'orion's written on the side. I'm asking $650 + shipping for the whole deal. It's been in the closet for months, no time to finish, and need funds for other projects. I will consider all offers or trades for this project.
