Van Slyke 4 Vane Spider for a 12 inch OD Tube. This spider was used as part of a 10 inch Newtonian telescope. The elliptical flat mirror has a minor axis of ~ 3 inches. The flatness is λ/8 P-V with an enhanced aluminum coating. You can modify the spider for different tube sizes by making your own vanes. The elliptical mirror can also be removed. The spacing between the mirror and the vanes can be adjusted easily by the use of set screws.
