I'm selling my Discovery 8 which I bought new in 2012. It's in very good condition. It has a 1.5" thick Pyrex primary, Birch wood base, JMI 2" focuser w/1-1/4" adaptor, Telrad, adjustable bearings, and end caps. The optics are very sharp. The primary and secondary mirrors have their original coatings which are still in decent shape.
I made a couple of changes to it, including moving the focuser from 2 o'clock to 10 o'clock out of personal preference. The 2 o'clock focuser hole is now covered with construction paper and water-resistant tape. I also repositioned the spider vanes from up-down-left-right to criss-cross.
In the photos the slight smudge around the collimation square is from a paper reinforcer the primary originally came center-spotted with.
