For sale is a 12.5” Starmaster ELT in excellent condition. This is the f/5 version. Flat footed viewing at the zenith for someone 5’8” and taller. Does require a 2” Paracorr for balancing and best edge-to-edge viewing.
Scope and mirror are in excellent condition. Very smooth and precise alt and az movement. Includes full Sky Commander / DSC and manuals with on-board battery powered heating wiring harness, Feathertouch focuser, Rigel finder, light shroud and a like new Astro Systems scope cover with bag.
The scope delivers the usual fantastic deep sky views and knockout lunar and planetary views. Contrast and resolution are superb. The Zambuto mirror is rated with a 20.7 wavefront and 98.5 Strehl Ratio.
Asking $3,000 with ‘local pickup’ only but I would be willing to drive a ways to help with delivery. Preferred payment would be either cashiers check or wire transfer. Paypal would be accepted IF buyer pays their fees. Personal checks would be held until cleared.
Also available to the buyer is: 2” Photo-Visual Parracorr with tunable Top - $220, complete Tectron collimation tools and manual - $90 and a 2” Kendrick laser collimator - $90. If the buyer does not want them they will be listed later.
